Beef Stew

This beef stew recipe makes a hearty meal that anyone would love.


  • 2-1/2 teaspoons canola oil
  • 1 cup cubed top sirloin steak
  • 1-1/2 cups cubed, peeled potatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/8 dried thyme leaves
  • 1/8 minced garlic
  • 1/8 teaspoon iodized salt
  • 1/3 cup green peas, thaw if frozen
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
  • bonemeal and multivitamin-mineral supplement

In a saucepan, heat canola oil over medium heat. Add steak and cook, stirring, until browned. Add potatoes, water, thyme, garlic and salt. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender. Stir in peas, carrots, and celery. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until vegetables are soft. Let cook. Stir in bonemeal and supplements. Serve
